And came across other 5th gens having a meet. Stopped by to take some pictures, at the right place, but the wrong time. photo story after the jump.

This is the first shot i took of the the accident. In my infinite wisdom decided against photo'ing him as he peeled out of the restaurant. But i stopped and listened. Next thing you hear is a big bang/crash sound. Metal sounding, not glass, and then this car shoots into view totally drifting then stops in the on-coming lane. You can still see the smokiness.

the Camaro people run over. I just kept shooting.

And here is where the camaro ended up. I do believe it was a case of over steer with not enough oppo that caused this scene. Remember people, dont show off when other cars are are around, especially if they are oncoming traffic.

This wasnt a very nice accident. Id be willing to bet that both cars are totaled. Camaro didnt have much damage, but all the force of the damage done went right into his front left. His front left is what did so much damage to the side of the lexus. Front fender to the bumper, that lexus took a beating. Just look at the story the skid marks tell. And the trooper is listening to a dramatic interpretation from a witness.

This photo couldnt have been more perfect. What were the chances. Might need sunglasses on the red camaro and a "deal with it" caption.

I suppose i should leave off with a happy photo of that meet. So here's one of the non wrecked Camaros.

Funny part is the whole reason i was out taking photos was because i needed some shots for my photography class tomorrow. I think ive found a few, thats for sure.

And just so there is clarity, my 5th gen is not a camaro. Which explains why i couldnt park next to them. No 5th gen love? :/

'69 RS with SS badge and Z/28 hood. MAKE UP YOUR MIND ALREADY!

True, but still gorgeous in those colors. Also, I just noticed how taller the old Camaro sits compared to the new one. Welp, I bet you could do a lot under it without even taking it out of the floor.

The '69 Camaro was my absolute #1 Dream Car when I returned to my gearhead roots 2 years ago (between maybe around age 12 and 16 I didn't care much about cars since being able to drive them felt too distant and I was too old to play with my toy cars like I used to). I still love it, but I've broadened my horizons significantly since then.

It really bothers me that people seem to prefer the Z/28 hood (which I find ugly) over the SS hood (although the vents on it are just for show I think they look awesome), especially when they have an SS badge on the car (or even worse if it's an actual SS).

Why do I have an irrational desire for an 80's IROC with an LS2/T56 combo?

" not enough oppo" isn't what was wrong with this situation. keep it in your pants

It was pretty much the same with me, except it was with Corvettes before extending to other Muscle Cars, and eventually all kinds of cars. Back in 2004, when the C6 had just been released, there were talks at GM to import it officially to Brazil, and, even though that never happened, Chevrolet still held a promotion where you could win a brand new C6 by buying a new Chevrolet.

Anyways, they brought a demo C6 from the US to tour the country's dealerships and one beautiful morning, I walked up to our local Chevrolet store (which is next to my house) and spotted the beautiful curvaceous two seater decked out in shining silver paint being unloaded from a truck into the showroom. It was love at first sight, like watching a hot girl move into the house next door.

That Vette lived next door to me for almost a week, but I never gathered the courage to tell her I loved her.

Because it would be amazing? An IROC has always been the Camaro I wanted. More powerful engine would be icing on the cake.

Indubitably. Thats actually the class i took. Photojournalism. The generic photo class was running during another one of my required classes so i had to take this instead.

Only downside is that most of the photos have to include people so i cant just shoot cars for everything. Though, ill include them as much as i can haha.

Plus, im gonna ask him if i can use this post for one of my final projects. A photo story. I doubt it though...
